1. SCOPE AND STATUTORY RIGHTS
This policy explains returns, cancellations, exchanges, and refunds for goods purchased from byalcapone.shop by customers in the United Kingdom. Contact info@byalcapone.shop for assistance.
Our 30-day voluntary return benefit is additional to statutory rights. Nothing excludes rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or other applicable law. Mandatory legal rights take priority over conflicting voluntary conditions.
2. OUR 30-DAY VOLUNTARY RETURN BENEFIT
You can request a return of eligible unwanted goods within 30 calendar days after delivery. Notify us within that period and send the goods back within 14 calendar days after notification. Ask us for the correct return destination before posting a parcel.
For this additional benefit, goods must be unused beyond reasonable inspection, unwashed, unaltered, and complete with supplied accessories. Retain labels and packaging where reasonably possible. Missing packaging alone does not remove statutory cancellation or faulty-goods rights. The voluntary benefit does not cover goods genuinely excluded under section 5 unless we agree otherwise.
3. STATUTORY CANCELLATION OF ONLINE PURCHASES
For most goods bought online, you can cancel without giving a reason from the time you place the order until 14 calendar days after you, or someone you nominate other than the carrier, receives them. For multiple goods ordered together and delivered separately, this period generally starts after the last item is received. Other special delivery arrangements follow the applicable statutory rules.
Send a clear statement to info@byalcapone.shop identifying the purchase and saying you wish to cancel. You do not need our approval or a return authorisation number to make a valid statutory cancellation. An order number is helpful but other sufficient identifying information can be used.
Return goods without undue delay and within 14 calendar days after telling us you are cancelling. If required cancellation information has not been provided, the cancellation period may be extended under the regulations. Our internal processing does not shorten statutory deadlines.
4. INSPECTION AND DIMINISHED VALUE
During statutory cancellation, you may inspect goods as reasonably needed to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, as you would in a shop. Opening ordinary packaging or carefully trying on suitable goods does not automatically prevent cancellation.
If handling goes beyond necessary inspection and causes an actual reduction in value, a lawful and proportionate deduction may apply. We will explain its basis and amount. There is no automatic deduction merely for opening a box, and no deduction is made where the regulations prohibit it.
5. GENUINE CHANGE-OF-MIND EXCEPTIONS
Only where relevant to the purchased goods and permitted by law, cancellation may be unavailable for goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised; goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; sealed goods genuinely unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons after unsealing; and sealed audio, video, or software products after their seal is broken.
A standard size or colour choice, a supplier order, or a special-order label does not alone make goods personalised. Hygiene restrictions do not automatically apply to every garment or accessory. The legal conditions for an exception must actually be met. Exceptions do not remove remedies for faulty, unsafe, or misdescribed goods.
6. REQUESTING AND SENDING A RETURN
Email your order details, the item concerned, and whether you are cancelling, using the voluntary return benefit, or reporting a fault. A reason is not required for statutory cancellation. For faulty goods, a description helps identify the appropriate remedy.
We will provide the relevant return destination and instructions. Do not assume an address printed on a shipping label accepts returns. Requesting instructions is administrative and does not make statutory rights dependent on permission. If instructions are delayed, contact us promptly so we can resolve the issue without prejudicing your rights.
Pack goods securely and include enough information to identify your order. Keep proof of posting. Tracking is recommended, but premium postage is not a condition of exercising statutory rights. Where we offer collection, we will explain the arrangement and you do not need to post the same goods separately.
7. FAULTY, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECT GOODS
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a purpose made known to us where the legal conditions apply, and as described. If they do not meet those standards, contact us. Do not continue using goods that appear unsafe.
UK consumers generally have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods within 30 days, subject to statutory rules and relevant exceptions for goods with a shorter expected life. Afterwards, repair or replacement rights may apply. Where those remedies are impossible, unsuccessful, or not supplied within a reasonable time without significant inconvenience, a price reduction or final rejection may be available.
For relevant remedies, a fault arising within six months is generally presumed to have existed at delivery unless the contrary is established or the presumption is incompatible with the goods or fault. Longer claim periods can apply; a limitation period does not guarantee that every product will last for that entire period.
8. EVIDENCE AND REPORTING
Report damage, missing contents, or an incorrect item as soon as reasonably possible. Photographs and packaging can assist, but an unboxing video is not required. We do not impose a 24-hour or 48-hour cutoff that extinguishes statutory rights.
We may reasonably inspect goods or request relevant evidence. Proof of purchase can include an order confirmation, receipt, payment record, or another suitable record. The original receipt is not required where the purchase can be established another way.
9. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS
For change-of-mind returns, you pay the direct cost of returning goods unless we agree to cover it or applicable law requires otherwise. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, legally required return-cost information must be supplied before purchase. We will not impose undisclosed costs where the law prevents that.
Where goods are faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly, we will arrange return or collection, or reimburse reasonable necessary return costs as required by law. Contact us before choosing an unusually expensive service so that we can arrange a suitable method. A cost legally owed by us will not be transferred to you.
10. REFUND AMOUNT AND DELIVERY CHARGES
An eligible refund covers the amount paid for the returned goods, subject only to lawful explained deductions. We charge no restocking fee. Standard shipping is free, and we do not retrospectively deduct an invented outbound delivery charge.
For cancellation of a whole order, any standard delivery amount actually charged must be reimbursed as legally required. An expressly selected premium delivery supplement above the least expensive standard option need not be refunded on a change-of-mind cancellation. Faulty-goods remedies are assessed separately under the applicable law.
11. REFUND METHOD AND TIMING
Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree to a lawful alternative that causes no refund fee. We do not require store credit instead of a money refund where a money refund is due.
Our service target is to initiate an eligible refund within seven calendar days after the applicable refund conditions are met. Banks or payment providers may require additional time to show the credit. This target does not extend a statutory deadline.
For statutory cancellation where we have not offered collection, we may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever occurs first. Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and within the applicable 14-day deadline. If we offered collection, the cancellation refund deadline generally runs from your cancellation notification rather than completion of collection. A refund under statutory rejection of faulty goods is made without undue delay and within 14 days after we agree that you are entitled to it.
12. EXCHANGES, PROMOTIONS, AND PARTIAL RETURNS
An exchange depends on availability and your agreement. It does not replace a refund remedy the law allows you to choose. For a partial return, reimbursement reflects the amount allocated to the item after the original discount. Bundle and promotion adjustments must follow clearly disclosed terms and applicable law; we will not add an undisclosed penalty. Discounted goods have the same statutory rights as full-price goods.
13. CANCELLATION BEFORE DISPATCH AND NON-DELIVERY
Contact us promptly if you wish to cancel before dispatch. We may not be able to intercept a parcel already in transit, but that does not remove a valid cancellation right. If an order does not arrive, we will investigate and provide the legally appropriate remedy. You do not have to complete our carrier claim before exercising rights against us.
14. COMPLAINTS AND REFUND FOLLOW-UP
If a confirmed refund is not visible after the expected provider processing period, email info@byalcapone.shop. We will check its status and provide an available transaction reference. Any refusal or deduction will be explained and relevant additional evidence considered.
